Congratulations to the Gate City Academic Team, back-to-back Region 2D Champions and headed back to the state tournament!

Congratulations to Ava Seagle, the winner of the 2020 Strong Men & Women in History Essay contest. She won a MacBook and $1,000 for GCHS. She presented her speech in Richmond. Students in Jamie Perry's English classes have received this award for five years. Mrs. Perry was honored for her work in helping students achieve this goal.


Morgan Baker and Andrew Pendleton are winners of the Fairway Ford Perfect Attendance scholarship for the fall semester.


Gate City High School is proud to announce their continued partnership with Fairway Ford to Focus on Your Future and promote school attendance.

Thanks to the generosity of Fairway Ford, Gate City High School students with perfect attendance will have the opportunity to win a silver Ford Fusion and $2000 in scholarships.

A check for $1,739.53 was presented to the Rotary Club for the Malawi Irrigation Project from GCHS Earth Science 2 class, Robotics, & Lake Fleming Ecology Club.

Gate City High School is excited to offer MySchoolBucks School Store! This online payment service provides an easy way to pay for items such as Dual Enrollment fees using a credit/debit card or electronic check.

Food City School Bucks
You can earn free cash for our school by linking your Food City Value Card to GCHS by using PLU #40919. This can be done online or at checkout at any Food City location. Shop, Scan, and Save to support our school! Cards must be registered every year. If you haven't already, please stop by Food City and register your Food City Value Card with GCHS.


Cody Butler of Food City in Weber City presents a check to Gate City High School for $5,246. The GCHS Senior Cheerleaders accept the check for the school.
